NIIT University is a Not for Profit Private University based in Neemrana, Rajasthan, India. It is part of the NIIT group and was founded by the Chairman of NIIT group, Mr. Rajendre Singh Pawar in the year 2009.
Currently, the University has three B.tech courses, three M.tech courses, MBA program, and Ph.D. program. B.tech is offered in the Computer Science Engineering, Biotechnology and Electronics and Communications Engineering whereas M.tech is offered in Geographic Information Systems, Education Technology and Cyber Security. The University has a residential campus with two hostels for Male Students and two hostels for female candidates. It has two dining halls. The University campus has a football field, cricket field, Basketball Court, Tennis Court and a Pool room. The campus is Wifi connected and has state of the art labs, classrooms, and library. It also has a 240-Seater auditorium. According to previous year’s data and as per University, 97.38% students of the students who opted for Campus Placement got placed. Companies like IBM, Amazon, Vodafone, Pay U India, NIIT Technologies etc. came to recruit the students and the average package was around 4.5 Lacks P.A. Highest Package offered was 13 Lacks P.A. and University also had an International Placement in Germany.
For admission in University’s B.Tech courses, the eligibility criteria are that student applying must have scored more than 60% overall in Class 10th or equivalent and more than 60% as average in PCM (For B.tech) or 60% as average in PCB (For Biotechnology). Apart from this, the student should also must have appeared in any of the following entrance exams: JEE Mains (Joint Entrance Examination), BITSAT (Birla Institute of Technology and Science Admission Test), SAT (Scholastic Aptitude Test), NUET (NIIT University Entrance Test) or any of the state engineering entrance exam.
NUET will be taken for admission if the student hasn’t given any entrance test. NUET will be of 1 hour and will have a total of 90 questions each weighing 2 Marks. The paper would be divided into three sections of Physics, Chemistry, Maths (for B.Tech)/Biology (for Biotechnology) which will contain 30 questions each. Each section will have 20 minutes allotted to answer the questions. It will be a computer based exam. The result of the exam will be mailed to the students within 48 hours of taking the test. Based on the test, students will be called for counseling in the Main Campus of NIIT. There will be four rounds of counseling which will be held. There also will be a personal counseling interaction. Documents required for personal counseling Interaction are class 10th certificate and mark sheet, class 12th certificate and mark sheet, the result of any of the above-mentioned engineering entrance exam, color photograph. Communication Skills, Hobbies, Stream selection would be judged in the personal Interaction. The University will also be offering a scholarship based on Mains Score or BITSAT score or SAT score or Class 12th Boards Score. The scholarship offered will be as high as 100%.
