How the Registration Amount Would be Refunded?
The registration amount which has been paid by the applicants would be refunded within the deadline of one week. Applicants who have paid the registration amount from their bank account would receive the refund amount directly into the bank account. The applicants who have paid via Demand Draft would receive the refund same way from DDA. The time for refund of registration amount into bank is less as compared to the DD. By the end of August, the refund process of unsuccessful applicants would be completed as said by the officials.
Some of the applicants have paid the registration by taking bank loans and for those applicants there would an interest rate which they need to pay before refund. The interest would be deducted from the registration amount before transferring it back to the applicant’s account. The total registration amount for the DDA housing scheme collected by DDA is over 10, 000 Crore and to distribute the refund correctly they need time for and proper calculation needs to be done. So, the authority has taken a time of 1 week to refund the amount. The time may extend up to 15 days which is till end of August 2019.
