What after AP EAMCET 2019 Result?

The Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (EAMCET) 2019 are conducted by the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Kakinada (JNTUK) in place of Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE). This examination serves as a pre-requisite to get admission in different professional courses offered by the state government or private colleges in Andhra Pradesh.

AP EAMCET 2019 is conducted on various dates depending upon which course you have opted for. They are mainly Engineering and Agriculture. The AP EAMCET 2019 for Engineering was conducted from 20th to 23rd April 2019 at different locations in the state while for Agriculture, the examination was held on 23rd and 24th April 2019. The AP EAMCET Result is yet to be released but the result will be announced tentatively in the 3rd week of May 2019. The result will be released online so candidates will need to log into the official site of AP EAMCET, i.e. sche.ap.gov.in and then enter the registration and hall ticket number to get the AP EAMCET Result 2019. Before initiating for a printout, candidates are requested to go through all the details and check for any discrepancies.

The authorities of AP EAMCET adopt the normalization process to assign a rank to the candidates. In case two candidates get equal marks then the tie-breaker rule is applied:

  • Total marks obtained in the AP EAMCET 2019.
  • Marks of Mathematics.
  • Marks of Physics.
  • Aggregate marks in percentage obtained in the qualifying exam.
  • If the tie persists even after considering every option given above, then the older candidate is given the preference.

The AP EAMCET Result 2019 scheduled to release on May 1, is now delayed and is now supposed to be released on the third week of May. Details such as combined score, rank, maximum score and much more are provided in the result.

The JNTU, Kakinada releases the AP EAMCET Cut-off for 2019. This cut-off is a borderline for the candidate to secure minimum marks to get admission in the institutes. The AP EAMCET cut-off is different for different categories and colleges. Candidates belonging to specific categories if score less than the cut-off then they may or may not get admission in good institutes as compared to candidates who have scored well. Candidates can even check the AP EAMCET Cut-off on the official website of the examination portal.

The cut-off is parameterized on different levels and consideration is put in regard to various factors such as:

  • The difficulty level of the examination
  • Availability of seats for admission through the exam
  • Number of candidates applying
  • The AP EAMCET Cut-off trend in the previous years

After the AP EAMCET Result has been announced, the candidates have to go through the AP EAMCET Counseling process. This process is taken under three rounds. It usually starts from the last week of May. Qualifying candidates can apply and participate in the AP EAMCET Counseling. During the counselling, candidates will have to first clear the fee, register themselves for the counselling, select the requires programme or stream they are interested in and lastly the institute they wish to get admitted in. the seat allotment is processed according to the candidate’s merit. All the candidates who have been allotted the seats will first have to report themselves at the counselling centre and then at the allotted institute. In case of failure, the candidate is liable to be disqualified from the AP EAMCET Counselling. Even if the candidate is not happy with the allotment, he/she will have to be present at the time of counselling to take it to round 2. The same process is followed in round two and three.

During the AP EAMCET Counselling following are the requirements that need to be fulfilled:

Processing fee Payment – This can be fulfilled through online banking, credit or debit card. The OBC or general candidates have to pay a fee of Rs. 1200 while the SC/ST candidates need to pay Rs. 600.

Document Verification – The eligible candidates have to report to the respective counselling centre with their original and photocopied documents. After complete verification, the candidate is given a receipt or a slip for successful verification.

Making choices – Now the candidate is required to fill their choices and preferences after registering into the portal with a new password.

Seat Allotment list Online – The counsellors display the allotted list online and the candidate is required to take it or leave it as per their requirement.

The whole process of admission after the result is announced takes up a month or two to get complete. Only after this process, the institutes start their session and begin with a bunch of new students working towards building their future.
