After the draw only 8438 flats were allotted till date in different categories from above 45000 applicants. So, in a bid to keep everything transparent DDA has now launched a new offer under which the unsuccessful applicants of DDA housing scheme 2019 would get their refund within a week time instead of three months. More About the New Circular of Refund

Delhi Development Authority has decided to refund the unsuccessful applicants in lesser time possible. At the time of booking the Ready to Move Flats under DDA housing scheme the applicants need to pay a registration amount of 1 Lakh. A draw is held before allotting the flats to the lucky applicants. The applicants whose name are there in the final draw list are allotted with the DDA flats and those applicants who miss the draw get the refund with a waiting time of three months. So, people who were unsuccessful to get through the draw are likely to get refund for their registration within three months initially. The DDA officials have issued circular to the respective banks informing them to refund the registration amount of the unsuccessful applicants within 7-15 days. So, now the time required for refund is one week which is a great sign of respite for the unsuccessful applicants. They are no longer required to wait for a time of three months to get the refund back. This is the major step taken by DDA to refund the registration amount in less time than ever before.

Other Instructions Imposed by DDA

Apart from instruction of refund within 7 days, DDA has also given other necessary instructions. All unsuccessful applicants can now get the refund of their registration amount within a week time. But there are also other instructions for successful applicants. The DDA property for Sale in India 2019 was launched on 25th March 2019 and it focuses on offering affordable flats across all four categories. The deadline for submitting the application and paying the registration fee was extended up to 10th of June as they got low response initially. How the Registration Amount Would be Refunded?

The registration amount which has been paid by the applicants would be refunded within the deadline of one week. Applicants who have paid the registration amount from their bank account would receive the refund amount directly into the bank account. The applicants who have paid via Demand Draft would receive the refund same way from DDA. The time for refund of registration amount into bank is less as compared to the DD. By the end of August, the refund process of unsuccessful applicants would be completed as said by the officials.

Some of the applicants have paid the registration by taking bank loans and for those applicants there would an interest rate which they need to pay before refund. The interest would be deducted from the registration amount before transferring it back to the applicant’s account. The total registration amount for the DDA housing scheme collected by DDA is over 10, 000 Crore and to distribute the refund correctly they need time for and proper calculation needs to be done. So, the authority has taken a time of 1 week to refund the amount. The time may extend up to 15 days which is till end of August 2019.
