Wildlife lovers are welcome in the Ranthambore National Park for online safari booking service. Using the online booking service, you can book online seats in Jeep Safari and Canter Safari. Ranthambore Jungle safari is fully under controlled of the Forest department and all booking procedures for Jeep and Cantor for Ranthambore jungle safari are fully managed by Forest Officers of Ranthambore National Park.
The Ranthambore Tiger reserve area has been divided into 10 different safari zones and the Jungle Safari tour is organized in all the zones by the forest Department. Ranthambore online Tiger Safari booking service is available for all safari zones of the national park. However, just before the entry into Ranthambore National Park, safari zones are randomly allocated to jeeps and caterers by forest department officers using a computerized allocation system. In particular, there is a provision for choosing preferred safari zone 90 days before the date of the visit to the park.
If you want to make your own choice of jungle safari zone under the 90 days of safari date then it depends on availability at the time of online safari booking. In general, there is no provision to make your own preferred safari zone in the current booking and visitors are not allowed to change the route once allotted. Visitors can request to change the safari zone for their Jungle safari trip, but the decision to change the safari zone in Ranthambore depends only on the forest department. Yes, if the visitor has made an advance online safari reservation on any zone 90 days ago, then he/she can change his/her safari zone after paying the additional fee prescribed by the forest department.
It is important to mention here that the driver of the safari vehicles, Nature guide, safari zone, all these are in the hands of the forest department of National Park. Safari vehicle and Nature guides are allocated in Ranthambhore by roster system, to ensure that distribution of jeep and Canter for Jungle Safari in Ranthambore is equal in every zone. There are limited safari jeeps and canters are allowed inside the Ranthambore National park by the forest department.
According to existing Ranthambore National Park Safari Booking Policy there are 4 jeeps and 4 canters are allowed on every safari zone in each slot. But on the occasion of festivals, new year and crowded weekend, the Forest Department increases the number of safari vehicles in the National park. Yes it is true that there are some safari zones in Ranthambore where Canter is not allowed. These include Zone 7 and 8. The Canters are not allowed in these zones due to more mountainous terrain and steep climbing.
In Ranthambore National Park, Safari Tour is permitted in two innings that is Morning shift and afternoon shift. Visitors can choose a safari shift according to their convenience. Online safari booking for Ranthambore National Park is done on a first come, first served basis. And for the Ranthambore jungle safaris booking, visitors have to pay the full advance amount including the Safari Park permit fee, vehicle seat fee, vehicle entry fee, TRDF- Tiger reserve development fee and guide fees to the forest department. Once the Safari booking is done, then amendment or cancellation attracts 100% retention. Ranthambhore safari vehicle which includes jeeps and canters are allotted by the forest department on the day of safari as per roster system.
National Park Safari Timing
Generally, the opening and closing timing of Ranthambore National Park is synchronizing with sunrise and sunset. Normally the Ranthambore National Park opens approximately half an hour after sunrise and closes about half an hour before sunset and often the time of sunrise and sunset varies with the change of season. The time of entry and exit of Ranthambore National Park varies accordingly. Below is the approved time of Safari for the whole year.

Safari in Monsoon Season
In rainy season, the safari zone 1 to 5 remains close in Ranthambore National Park and the rest of the safari zone 6 to 10 remains open in monsoon. Monsoon season in Ranthambore lasts from 1 July to 30 September. All the Safari zones of the Ranthambore National park are opened by the Forest Department from October 1st for tourists.
