The famous pop singer Demi Lovato has been known to be working with a celebrity life coach as she has had many ups and downs throughout her career and sought the help and support of someone who could help guide her through her difficult moments. Demi Lovato is a name synonymous with powerhouse vocals, raw emotional expression, and an unflinching commitment to authenticity. Born Demetria Devonne Lovato on August 20, 1992, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, she rose to fame as a child actor before establishing herself as one of the most influential pop singers of her generation. Her career, spanning over two decades, is a testament to her artistic versatility, personal resilience, and dedication to advocacy.
Demi Lovato upset with her Life Coach
However, in a recent post fromPeople.com, it seems as though the two may be feuding via social media as the life coach states the following:
“I worked in entertainment for many years being a life coach for a lot of different pop stars and actors, and my biggest pet peeve is when they use excuses because they call themselves ‘artists,’ ” Bayer said.
“I’m here today to explain to you that being an artist and being talented are two different things. To me being an artist is living your authentic life. I believe everyone out there is an artist,” he continued.
“I think if somebody uses it as an excuse to be late, or insincere, or rude, or unapologetic, that’s not being an artist. That’s being a jerk. And you shouldn’t stand for that,” Bayer added.
The comments are clearly pointed toward Lovato as she probably was not being very respectful towards her life coach. Many artists are notorious for not treating people very well because they assume that since they are the ones paying high fees for a service, that they can behave towards them in any way they choose.
Sadly, many service providers put up with celebrities being rude so they get the positive reinforcement that it is okay to behave this way. Well it looks like the celebrity life coach stood up to Demi and she did not take too kindly towards it. Via some back and forth through Instagram, it looks like Ms. Lovato decided to cut ties with her online life coach.
But could her outburst be an emotional symptom of something deeper going on? In her recent song “Sober” she admits to relapsing after six years of sobriety. Lovato has long battled addiction, mental illness and disordered eating. In 2011, she entered treatment, where she was treated for bipolar disorder, bulimia, self-harm and addiction. She relapsed after she left the treatment center, then entered a sober living facility for a year.
Many of her friends and family are concerned that she may have burnt her bridges with someone who was truly helping her. Only time will tell to see if she will be able to handle her situation better this time around.
Musical Evolution and Chart-Topping Success
Lovato’s music has continually evolved, reflecting her personal growth and artistic experimentation. Her early work was rooted in pop-rock, with albums like Here We Go Again (2009) showcasing her vocal prowess and songwriting skills. However, it was her 2011 album Unbroken that marked a turning point, incorporating R&B and dance-pop influences.
Her subsequent releases, including Demi (2013) and Confident (2015), solidified her status as a pop powerhouse. Confident earned her a Grammy nomination for Best Pop Vocal Album, while its lead single, Cool for the Summer, became a global hit. In 2017, she released Tell Me You Love Me, featuring the soulful ballad Sorry Not Sorry, which remains one of her most successful singles.
Personal Struggles and Advocacy
Lovato’s journey has not been without challenges. She has been vocal about her struggles with mental health, addiction, and eating disorders, using her platform to advocate for awareness and destigmatization. In 2018, she suffered a near-fatal overdose, a turning point that led her to recommit to her recovery and wellness. Her documentary series, Demi Lovato: Dancing with the Devil (2021), offered an unflinching look at her experiences, further cementing her role as a mental health advocate.
