Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STD) are the most common infectious diseases in the world. They can occur when there are transmitted infections during the partners in case of unsafe sex. Human Papilloma Virus

HPV can spread sexually to anyone who is sexually active and can get through Vagina, Anus or oral sex. HPV can be infected through the skin contact also. Most of the people are not harmed and the body gets rid of it soon. Some of them can have genital warts that may need some serious treatment. There are two vaccines that are advised for HPV. This is the most commonly infected disease in the United States and is spread through the anal or vaginal sex. Some people may get it through oral sex also. The most common symptom of this STD is the odd discharge from the penis or vagina or a pain or burning sensation when you pee. No treatment to Chlamydia can causes serious & permanent damage to a woman’s reproductive system. This STD transmits from mother to baby during delivery. Chlamydia is curable. This can be treated with some heavy antibiotics.

Syphilis

Syphilis is highly contagious and is spread with the Oral & Anal sex. This can be transferred to another person when a person kisses another person for a longer time. The sores are the cause to spread the disease and the person is unaware that he is infected and can pass to his partner. Pregnant women can easily pass this STD to the baby. Syphilis needs immediate medical attention and can lead to other severe problems with the other organs leading to even death.

Gonorrhea

This STD is spread with the Chlamydia and the symptoms are same as Chlamydia. This sexually transmitted disease caused by Neisseria gonorrhoeae bacteria. This bacteria grow in warm & moist area. Gonorrhea occurs due to sexual contact with infected fellow. In case of pregnancy there is chance that Gonorrhea will transfer from mother to the new born baby. The most common symptoms of Gonorrhea are Greenish yellow or whitish discharge from penis or vagina, Burning sensation during urinating & Swollen glands in the throat after oral sex. The symptoms of Gonorrhea appears with in 2 to 14 days of Infection. Gonorrhea is curable. It can be treated using antibiotic. No treatment to gonorrhea can cause serious problems in both women & men.

Hepatitis B

This disease is spread by the Hepatitis B Virus and can affect the liver seriously. The disease can spread in the semen and the vagina and most of the people are not aware of the infection. Hepatitis B can also transmitted through Sharing of needles, Blood transfer & Mother to child. Hepatitis B infection is Chronic. More days you are with this virus there is more chance of liver failure. Children are more chance to affected with Hepatitis B. To prevent your children from Hepatitis B there is a vaccine. Major symptoms of Hepatitis B are Abdominal pain, Nausea and vomiting, Fever & Yellowing skin.

Genital Herpes

This Sexually Transmitted Disease is caused by the HSV and the infected person can experience blisters and fever. The disease also spreads fast in the Genital area and can cause Genital Infections. This HSV is silent and will show no symptoms.

STD Symptoms

Most of the Sexually Transmitted Diseases will not show any symptoms, but others may have common symptoms like:

  • Bumps
  • Sores or warts near the penis, Vagina, anus or mouth
  • Skin rash
  • Fever with chills
  • Sudden Weight loss
  • Loose stools
  • Night sweats

  • Jaundice
