You can try both methods to see which one works best for you. Pick two medium-sized of potatoes, wash and scrub it thoroughly. Then you can choose to grate it, cut it up, or throw it in the blender. If you are using a blender, make sure to blend it into liquid and add some water if it is too thick. If you grate the potatoes, you can apply the pulp on the sunburn area. For simpler use, just slice up some potato and put it on the skin. There is no need to remove the potato peel.
Baking soda or cornstarch
Cornstarch has a cool and silky texture which is great to soothe sunburn skin. Baking soda has the same effect as cornstarch as it relieves the sunburn pain and lessens the redness on the skin. Both products can be easily found in most kitchens even when you are not planning to out in the sun.
For the sunburn reliever, you will need cornstarch or baking soda and cool water. Combine the ingredients and make a paste. Apply the paste on the sunburn area and leave it on until the pain or heat is reduced. Then rinse off with cool water completely. The amount of the paste that you will need depend on the area of the sunburn to cover.
Aloe Vera Lotion
