How to Cook North Indian Style Palak Paneer recipe?

Palak Paneer is a popular recipe of North India. Generally this recipe appears in Punjabi Families. It’s a hygienic recipes. As you know Palak is rich with Vitamin C and Iron. Regular in-take of Palak helps to improve metabolism and burns Calories. Few other advantages of Palak recipes are it helps to generate quality sperm, keeps our heart healthy, help to control blood sugar level and keeps our eyes healthy. Like Palak, Paneer is a Proteins rich food. Which helps to prevent tiredness. So not only for the taste but also as a healthy recipe Palak Paneer is well popular. In this session let us share the steps how to cook Palak Paneer recipe at home.

Ingredients

  • 250 grams Paneer Cubes
  • 150 grams Palak
  • 3 to 4 green Chillies
  • 3 medium size Chopped Onions
  • 2 medium size ripe Tomatoes
  • 1/2 spoon Cumin Powder
  • 1/2 spoon Garam masala
  • Kasuri Methi, Cinnamon and Cloves
  • 1 Spoon ginger garlic paste
  • 12 Cashews
  • Refined Oil or Butter as needed
  • Salt as required

Steps to Cook Palak Paneer

Heat a pan with 2 spoons of Cooking Oil. Put the paneer cubes and fry it for 3 to 4 minutes, until the upper surface looks light brown. To keep them soft after fry put them in water and leave for 20 minutes. Then drain and keep in a bowl. In the same pan put 2 more spoon Cooking Oil and add green chilies and palak. Fry it for 3 to 4 minutes. Make sure palak must wilt off thoroughly. Once the mixer of palak and green chilies Cooked well (Don’t over Cook) grind this mixer to a smooth puree.

Heat an another pan with 4 to 5 spoon cooking oil. Add cardamoms, cumin, cinnamon and cloves, when they begin to splutter put chopped onions in the pan. Fry it well until cooked well. Then add ginger and garlic paste. Keep frying. Once the raw smell goes away add tomatoes and salt as required. Now the masala is ready. To add flavor put Kasuri methi and garam masala.

Then add 1 cup of water and stir well. Cook until the masala looks gravy. Now add pureed palak and green chilies mixer. Cook until it begins to bubble. Then add fried paneer cubes. Cook for 3 to 4 minutes.

Now your Palak Paneer is ready to Serve. Serve it with soft butter Naan, Roti or any Flavored Rice item like Jeera Rice or Lemon Rice or Basumati Rice. To add additional flavor while Serving you can add Cashews paste on the top of Palak Paneer.
